I think that each of us has been fascinated with, and a little in love with Japanese toilets.
At our first stop at the ICU Guest house, we were introduced to the joy of heated seats, bidets, showers, and a flushing noise to disguise unpleasant sounds. All located on a remote.
The Japanese have amazing public restrooms. A few of them are the old style “squat” toilets, but it is not hard tofind western style, clearly labeled.
We were amazed to find “sightseeing” restroom while walking through the city of Kyoto. In was exceptionally clean.
Finally, the instructions and signage for foreigners on the proper use of toilets was quite amusing, and often helpful!
